The energy at the University Business Summit was nothing short of inspiring. Hosted by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber and our strategic partners, the event brought together more than 120 university, business, and community leaders for a powerful day of dialogue, vision casting, and alignment around a shared goal: attracting and retaining the next generation of talent in our region.
Throughout the day, conversations were marked by a spirit of collaboration and a collective commitment to positioning the Cincinnati region as a place where young professionals, students, and newcomers can thrive. What emerged was not only a clearer understanding of the region’s current efforts but also a deeper sense of unity and purpose among those working toward our shared future.
Marketing Cincinnati as a Top Destination for Talent and Business
One of the clearest messages? Our region is in a uniquely strong position to take the next leap forward. The people in the room—representing a cross-section of institutions and industries—are already doing the work. From developing relocation guides for international students to crafting a consistent regional identity and amplifying Cincinnati’s story on a national stage, we’re laying the foundation for long-term, sustainable growth.
Universities and employers are working hand-in-hand to retain top talent. From REDI Cincinnati’s close alignment with campus partners to international student support networks like the European American Chamber and the Japanese American Society, there’s a growing ecosystem designed to not only attract but also keep students here after graduation. Relocation resources and visa navigation support are helping break down barriers and ease transitions into the workforce.
At the same time, we’re rallying around a unified voice through the Brand Cincy platform. The website has become a go-to resource for businesses, universities, and civic organizations looking to tell a consistent and compelling story about our region. Messaging templates, free creative assets, and brand strategy guidance are equipping partners with the tools they need to speak with one voice—one that celebrates the strength, diversity, and opportunity of Greater Cincinnati.
Our story is being told more broadly, too. Organizations like Cincinnati Experience and REDI Cincinnati are leading the charge with national and international outreach—leveraging earned media, influencer campaigns, and digital marketing to showcase what makes our region stand out. Our universities, cultural assets, business climate, and community initiatives are featured as the heart of what makes life here not just viable, but vibrant.
And while we acknowledge the challenges ahead—like affordable housing and public safety—our focus remains forward-thinking. Leaders at the summit emphasized the importance of leading with solutions, sharing what’s working, and amplifying stories of success and innovation. Maintaining a positive perspective isn’t about ignoring obstacles; it’s about rallying the community to address them together.
As Gina Rittinger, Vice President of Strategic Growth at REDI Cincinnati, so aptly put it:
“While other places promise potential, the Cincinnati region delivers proof. Here, businesses find the foundations and support they need—talent, infrastructure, partnerships, incentives—backed by a track record of success stories.”
The University Business Summit underscored that proof. It reminded us that our strength lies in our people, our partnerships, and our shared belief in the power of place. The momentum is real—and the Chamber is proud to stand alongside so many committed leaders, working to ensure the Cincinnati region continues to be a destination of choice for talent, business, and innovation.
