Their programs help people find hope, connection, and practical tools to navigate mental health challenges, while also working to reduce stigma and build a more supportive community.

Funds raised will directly support NAMI SWOH’s free mental health programs and services, making a meaningful difference for individuals and families affected by mental illness. In 2024 alone, They served more than 18,000 people—including 2,225 participants in support groups, over 80 families in education courses, and 370+ mental health and suicide prevention presentations delivered in local schools. Their work is made possible by the dedication of 142 active volunteers in the community.
With the addition of this new fundraising event, they aim to expand their reach, grow their funding base, and strengthen their capacity to serve. Par for the Cause will help reach more underserved communities, reduce stigma, and provide families with the tools they need for lasting mental wellness.
Animal Companion Counseling, a Silver Member of the Chamber, is a nonprofit organization that provides ongoing outpatient mental health services to school-aged children, adolescents, adults, and families. They support individuals experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma/stress, and other mental health challenges.
They are the only organization in the Greater Cincinnati area that focuses on the integration of clinical Animal-Assisted Intervention and Animal-Assisted Therapy. They have 100% therapist retention for 3 consecutive years. They prioritize quick admission to services and maintain no waitlist. They accept Medicaid and most commercial insurances and are conveniently located at the intersection of the West End, Downtown and Queensgate neighborhoods.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Cincinnati, a Gold Member of the Cincinnati Chamber, serves 29 counties in Southeastern Ohio, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. The Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization. Funding for programs and services are made possible through the generous support of local donors, foundations and corporate support as well as fundraising events, such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. They lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
On October 4, the Alzheimer’s Association will host Walk to End Alzheimer’s Cincinnati Tri-State at Sawyer Point. In 2024, the Cincinnati Walk was ranked 15th largest out of over 600 Walks nationwide, raising over $930,000. In addition, they were also ranked the 5th best nonprofit festival by CityBeat.

The Alzheimer’s Association also offer free programs and services such as memory cafes, support groups and educational programming. And they are able to offer those services free of charge through the fundraising they do at Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The Greater Cincinnati Navy League, a silver member of the Cincinnati Chamber, has three primary tasks:
- To advocate for the nation’s sea services: the Navy, the Marines, the Coast Guard, and the Merchant Marine.
- To support local youth programs for Sea Cadets and JROTC to encourage young people to serve our country.
- To inform their 250+ members about matters related to our sea services through luncheons, dinner meetings, quarterly newsletters, and their website.
This year, the Cincinnati Navy League began constructing an important local landmark that is likely to become a civic icon. The “USS Cincinnati Memorial Peace Pavilion” will be a full-sized representation of the submarine, over 360 feet long, and will use artifacts from the Nuclear Submarine USS Cincinnati, SSN 693, to commemorate the importance of this ship and its crew during the Cold War. It will engage visitors with the science, technology, engineering, and math embodied in a submarine and the skilled trades required to build Navy ships.
The memorial is adjacent to the Voice of America Park and Athletic Complex in West Chester, in Butler County. The park includes a sports complex that attracts over 500,000 young athletes and their families each year. The memorial will feature many interactive displays designed by local schools for visitors, especially students, to explore features of a submarine’s systems. The Rubinstein Library at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is the place for patients and families to turn for extensive health-related information on developmental and behavioral issues. They are a free service open to the community with the goal of providing access to resources, whether that is medical research delivered to staff, health-related information provided to patients or families, or a storybook for a child.
The Rubinstein Library has over 2,000 books with a non-fiction collection covering a wide range of developmental and behavioral disorders, and a children’s literature collection meant to entertain and educate. The library also has a small collection of educational aids meant to develop skills such as hand-eye coordination, large and fine motor skills, and social skills.
