Cincy Next is a program for emerging leaders with fewer than 8 years of professional experience to strengthen leadership skills, expand networks, and increase knowledge of self, business, and community.

What is Cincy Next?

Cincy Next is a program for emerging leaders with fewer than 8 years of professional experience to strengthen leadership skills, expand networks, and increase knowledge of self, business, and community. The curriculum for this program includes topics around current regional civic issues, utilizing personality assessments within your teams and to grow professionally, time management and goal setting techniques, Cincinnati history and future, and more. Participants of Cincy Next will have a unique opportunity to connect their professional growth to a broader civic network to increase their potential for impact in Cincinnati. Program Objectives:

  • Connect participants with business leaders to build networks that will last long into the future

  • Expand of personal & professional development

  • Grow and strengthen leadership skills

  • Connect with community partners to get immersed in civic opportunities across the region

Target Participants:

Emerging early-career leaders (20s to early 30s) with eight or fewer years of overall professional experience. Candidates should seek connection and development both professionally and, in the community, demonstrate leadership potential and interest in growing in these skills and have a desire to connect with other young talent from across the region.

Curriculum

Example topics from previous years include:

  • Leadership style assessments

  • Understanding and developing a personal brand

  • Effective communication, including public speaking and difficult conversations

  • Personal finance and goal setting

  • Leveraging networks effectively and professional influence

  • Effective people management, including multigenerational workforce

  • Creative problem-solving

Cincy Next Class 12 Program Timeframe:

March – October 2025

  • Opening Reception: March 12, 2025 | 3-6 p.m.
  • Overnight “Venture Out!” Retreat at Camp Joy (REQUIRED): March 27-28, 2025
  • Volunteer Small Group Session: April 2, 2025 | 3-5 p.m.
  • Session 1: April 16, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 
  • Session 2: May 14, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 
  • Session 3: June 18, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Session 4: July 16, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Session 5: August 20, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Session 6: September 17, 2025 | 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Graduation Celebration: October 1, 2025 | 5-8 p.m.

Applications:

Applications for Class 13 will open August 19, 2025.

Application Fee:

$50 (non-refundable). Applicants will be asked to pay via credit card at the end of the online application process.

$3,500 for Chamber Members

$4,500 for non Chamber Members


*Partial scholarships may be available for those with financial need, and can be requested within the application. Payment plan options are also available.
