My experience in Building Cultural Competence at the Chamber provided multiple opportunities. It wasn’t just about gaining the understanding of others, but also gaining perspective of self and discovering some of the hidden characteristics that we may or may not realize. On top of potential bias, it also showed how we relate to and understand ours, amyhull also was an amazing way to connect with and learn about other professionals across the Greater Cincinnati area.
Amy E. Hull
The Building Cultural Competence course was extremely impactful for me. The team broke down the barriers and stigmas of bias, of and created a safe environment to explore how and why we feel the way we do. It can be an uncomfortable space, and they taught us how to lean into thatv discomfort to really learn and grow as people. I made meaningful connections with my cohort that will last beyond this training. I highly recommend Building Cultural Competence to anyone looking to further their growth and development!

Participating in the Building Cultural Competencies program through the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber has been one of the most eye-opening experiences I have participated in during my 20 year career in Cincinnati. I came to the class questioning how I could become a better ally and advocate for my friends, family, co-workers, and overall community and walked away having a deep awareness of the continued learning and introspective work I need to do. Recognizing how l live in this world is an important step I need to take so I can move from minimization to adaptation.

As we discuss real life topics such as work-life balance and stress management I’ve grown personally as well as professionally. I would encourage any sales leader who is interested in learning from other professionals, sharing best practices and bringing your leadership game to the next level to consider joining a CSO Roundtable.
Chris Whittaker
Being surrounded by all these diverse change makers through this program has opened my eyes to the astonishing dedication my classmates have in not only their careers but in making Cincinnati a better place to live, work and play in. Since joining C-Change, I have been nominated by the Board of Governors and accepted into the Roebling Society within the Metropolitan Club. I feel confident it’s unlocked that next level for me in my career in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Amanda Woeste
My C-Change experience has been rewarding and beneficial to my leadership and networking development. Also, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with other young professionals to support a non-profit on a key project. This has challenged me to think and problem solve differently.
