NAMI Southwest Ohio, a Gold Member of the Chamber, is your local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. They provide no-cost education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions across our region. Their programs help people find hope, connection, and practical tools to navigate mental health challenges, while also working to reduce stigma and build a more supportive community.

NAMI Southwest Ohio is thrilled to announce our inaugural golf outing, Par for the Cause, taking place on October 20th at Oasis Golf Club in Loveland. This fun and meaningful event raises critical funds to support their no-cost mental health programs and services across the region. Whether you register a foursome or come on board as a sponsor, your participation helps them expand their reach, reduce stigma, and provide vital resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness. Funds raised will directly support NAMI SWOH’s free mental health programs and services, making a meaningful difference for individuals and families affected by mental illness. In 2024 alone, They served more than 18,000 people—including 2,225 participants in support groups, over 80 families in education courses, and 370+ mental health and suicide prevention presentations delivered in local schools. Their work is made possible by the dedication of 142 active volunteers in the community.

With the addition of this new fundraising event, they aim to expand their reach, grow their funding base, and strengthen their capacity to serve. Par for the Cause will help reach more underserved communities, reduce stigma, and provide families with the tools they need for lasting mental wellness.

Animal Companion Counseling, a Silver Member of the Chamber, is a nonprofit organization that provides ongoing outpatient mental health services to school-aged children, adolescents, adults, and families. They support individuals experiencing mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma/stress, and other mental health challenges.

They are the only organization in the Greater Cincinnati area that focuses on the integration of clinical Animal-Assisted Intervention and Animal-Assisted Therapy. They have 100% therapist retention for 3 consecutive years. They prioritize quick admission to services and maintain no waitlist. They accept Medicaid and most commercial insurances and are conveniently located at the intersection of the West End, Downtown and Queensgate neighborhoods.

The Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Cincinnati, a Gold Member of the Cincinnati Chamber, serves 29 counties in Southeastern Ohio, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. The Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization. Funding for programs and services are made possible through the generous support of local donors, foundations and corporate support as well as fundraising events, such as the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. They lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

On October 4, the Alzheimer’s Association will host Walk to End Alzheimer’s Cincinnati Tri-State at Sawyer Point. In 2024, the Cincinnati Walk was ranked 15th largest out of over 600 Walks nationwide, raising over $930,000. In addition, they were also ranked the 5th best nonprofit festival by CityBeat.

The Alzheimer’s Association also offer free programs and services such as memory cafes, support groups and educational programming. And they are able to offer those services free of charge through the fundraising they do at Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
