Leadership Sprints

Leadership Sprints: Leading Change from Where You Are offers an immersive multi-day experience geared towards training managers—delving deeply into how to lead highly effective teams and how to have difficult conversations while fostering meaningful connections among participants.

Leadership Sprints: Leading Change From Where You Are

Leadership Sprints: Leading Change from Where You Are hosted in Louisville, KY November 17 -19, 2025, is designed for participants to invest in their leadership potential through an exchange of ideas, challenges, and solutions with other leaders.

This three-day Leadership Sprint is designed for individuals who are ready to drive real, people-centered change within their organizations—regardless of their formal title. Rooted in the principles of change management, systems thinking, and action planning, this program specifically focuses on the human side of transformation: engaging, supporting, and inspiring team members and employees through change.

Participants will identify a meaningful opportunity to positively impact their teams and will gain practical tools, confidence, and a supportive community to help move their vision forward. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what it means to be a change agent for people, how to assess your team’s readiness for change, and how to take focused, values-aligned action that truly resonates with those you lead.

By completing this sprint, participants will be able to:

  • Assess their organization’s capacity, culture, and context for change
  • Identify and focus on one key opportunity where they can make meaningful, strategic impact
  • Develop a business case for change that engages others and builds momentum
  • Apply practical change management strategies to test and scale new approaches
  • Communicate change clearly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders
  • Obtain SHRM/HRCI credit hours
  • After completing this Sprint, you will join the alumni network with the other Leadership Center alumni!

Leadership Sprints 2024 is hosted in Louisville, KY, and designed for participants to invest in their leadership potential through an exchange of ideas, challenges, and solutions with leaders in other cities. This is a unique opportunity for the members of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, facilitated by the Leadership Louisville Center. Within a supportive and small-group environment, this interactive workshop series offers participants the opportunity to build skills for navigating difficult conversations, managing evolving priorities, expanding their professional networks, and enjoying engaging activities.

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering leadership development and organizational growth within the network of leadership programs, we would like to offer a training program on Developing and Leading High-Performance Teams (which includes the 6 Cs of High-Performance Teams) & Courageous Communication.

Program Timeframe

November 17 – 19, 2025
Louisville, KY

Agenda:
  • Day 1: Foundations of Change
We’ll establish the groundwork for our time together by exploring the role of a change agent—what it means, why it matters, and how real change takes root. Participants will learn key principles of change management, examine common pitfalls, and begin to reflect on the conditions within their own organizations. This day is about setting shared language, framing opportunities, and building trust within the group.
  • Day 2: Strategy and Action
The second day is highly interactive and practical. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, examine case studies, and learn to craft compelling business cases for change. A panel of experienced leaders will share real-world stories of navigating organizational shifts. The focus will be on sharpening systems thinking and deepening understanding of how to shift mindsets, behaviors, and systems.
  • Day 3: Testing Change
Building on what we’ve learned, each participant will select one area of focus and design a “small test of change”—a concrete, achievable initiative they can launch after the sprint. Through brief presentations and peer feedback, participants will leave with a tested idea, a plan to act, and the support of a community rooting for their success.

Who Should Attend:

This sprint is designed for individuals with the ability to influence change in their organizations, regardless of formal title. It’s ideal for those leading employee resource groups (ERGs), working in Human Resources, or anyone passionate about shifting culture, systems, or processes. Participants should have the bandwidth—time, energy, or resources—to move forward on a change effort after the program ends.
