A message from Deborah Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, and Steve Davis, President and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center — the 2024 United Way Community Campaign co-chairs:
We are delighted and honored to serve as co-chairs of the 2024 United Way Community Campaign.
As leaders of two of the region’s outstanding health care organizations, we have a deep and vested interest in the personal health of all who live in the region. We also feel a deep responsibility to contribute to efforts ensuring the vitality of the entire community.
United Way has dedicated its efforts to building long-term solutions and aligning systems to help families in our community thrive. As current and past United Way board members, we share the organization’s vision for how the community can reach its full potential. These efforts, focused on three pillars of economic well-being — educational success, financial empowerment and housing security — will offer the best chance to create lasting, meaningful change within the community so that everyone can thrive.
Over the past four years, with Moira Weir’s leadership, United Way has created a blueprint for change and implemented strategies to drive transformative change — change that will help ensure children, adults and families in this community have access to the resources they need for a prosperous future.
Last year, United Way was able to invest $36 million in the community. We are determined to build on that momentum, and we are excited to do it together. Indeed, this is the first time the campaign is being led by co-chairs from two separate organizations. Working together, we hope to maximize the impact that all of us can make on this community.
We do not take lightly the responsibility of leading an effort of this magnitude knowing that it can and will have a profound impact on the Greater Cincinnati region.
We ask that you join us, for it is true: United We Thrive.
