Minister David Minor is a form all American basketball player from Cincinnati, OH. As a graduate of Purcell Marian High School, He established himself as one of the 50 greatest players in Cincinnati, 1986 Gatorade Player of the Year and won the 1985 AAA State Boys Basketball Championship. He went on to attend the Indiana University on a full scholarship where he and the 1987 Hoosiers won the National Men’s Basketball Championship under legendary Coach Bobby Knight. After 2 years at Indiana University, Minister Minor transferred to his hometown, Xavier University where he continued his athletic career and graduation with a BA in Organizational Communication.
Minister Minor is a skilled and sought after singer, songwriter and producer that has been in music ministry and worship arts leadership for over 25 years. He has produced, written and recorded with such national artist as Rodnie Bryant & CCMC, Joann Rosario, Eddie James, Motor City Mass Mandisa, and a host of local artist such as Pastor Rodney Posey, The Rhythmic Sounds of New J.
Minister Minor is currently the proud founder and visionary for Cincinnati United, a group of professional singers and musicians that serve the greater Cincinnati area, national and international communities. Minister Minor is also the Director of Worship Arts & Media at the historic Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church.

A God fearing man who loves God, loves his family, loves god’s people, and has embraced the lifestyle of being a servant-leader.
What is something that most people do not know about you?
My original composition “We Offer Praise” was the theme song for the Mass Service for Pope Francis last visit to the USA/Washington in 2015.

What is the primary motivation of your leadership?
Being pleasing in God’s sight and making my family proud with everything I do.
What has been the cornerstone of your life journey that influenced your personal mission and purpose?
Having a relationship with God at an early age, continuing to know him and developing my faith and trust in Him!
Who has had an immense impact on you as a leader? How did this person (or people) impact your life?
My Mother for sure. Watching her raise 2 boys into men while working 2-3 jobs at a time as a single mother. She birthed the love of music in me and hard work, passion and commitment to see a thing thru.
My first athletic coach, My Uncle Artie “Bucky” Hunt. His passion and commitment to coach and mentor young men through sports was amazing.
My High School Basketball coach, Jim Stoll. He taught me discipline, commitment to work, and how to live with integrity and character.
What piece of advice have you received along the way in your career or life journey that has stuck with you?
Success is never an accident
What one thing makes you most proud?
Seeing my family and those that I may have touched succeed in any area of life!
What’s one thing you do every day (or with consistency) to be a better person?
I pray and read the bible every day and I tell my family and as many people that I know, “I Love Them” as much as possible.
What are a few resources or behaviors you would recommend to someone looking to grow into a better leader?
Find successful Mentors/Leaders preferably but not necessarily in your area of expertise. Read about them, learn their ways, techniques, values. Surround yourself with other leaders via workshops, seminars etc.
How do you define success?
Building a culture and team of people that exceed their potential in every area of life.
Why do you choose to make the Cincinnati region home?
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, I moved away for about 15 years and came back for family and I have always loved all that Cincinnati has to offer.
In what ways are you involved in the Cincinnati community outside of your professional endeavors?
I volunteer with Matthew 25 ministries, United Way, Children’s Hospital, Youth With A Mission and several other local, national and international organizations.
My group Cincinnati United perform several concerts to raise donations for local pantries, schools, national and international organizations.
What do you imagine for the future of the Cincinnati region?
To continue to support local businesses and move the region forward thru the various strategic initiatives.
What legacy do you hope to leave behind?
I would want to be remembered for my unwavering faith in God, the positive impact I have had on people.
