Cincinnati Chamber Shares Perspective on Candidates for Cincinnati City Council

Review highlights the leadership of Reggie Harris and Liz Keating in supporting growth policies.

Cincinnati, OH (October 12, 2023) — Today, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber shared its perspective on the field of candidates for Cincinnati City Council in the November election.
After thorough vetting, which included interviews with Chamber members and review of questionnaire responses and voting records, the Chamber has published a brief perspective on all 10 candidates to inform Chamber members and the public on how each aligns with the Chamber’s policy agenda.

“The Chamber has worked closely with members of Council over the last two years to implement policies that support growth in Cincinnati’s population, economy, and vibrancy,” said Brendon Cull, President and CEO of the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. “Our review highlights the leadership of candidates like Reggie Harris and Liz Keating to help lead the City over the next two years.”

Chamber member interviews and candidate questionnaires addressed critical issues that include candidate top priorities, housing, economic growth, taxes, current ballot issues, transportation, inclusive policies, public-private partnerships, and more. A brief perspective of each candidate and their complete questionnaires can be found online here.

“The next City Council will tackle critical issues from managing the City’s long term fiscal health to embracing policies that will expand the supply of housing,” said Pete Metz, Vice President of Civic and Regional Partnerships of the Cincinnati Regional Chamber. “We believe it’s essential to provide voters with a clear understanding of how candidates align with Chamber policy priorities as they consider their choices this November.”

As a 501(c)(6) non-profit the Chamber does not support, oppose or endorse candidates for office. In an effort to educate our members and the public, the Chamber has consistently weighed in with our perspective on how candidates align with the Chamber’s policy agenda.
