Did you make it down to Court Street Plaza for Asian Food Fest last weekend? It was great to kick off our festival season with an amazing event that brings people together from across the region for a celebration of Asian cuisine and culture. The energy around the event was unbelievable and a true example of how these large-scale events invigorate the community, drive local economic growth, and foster a sense of community spirit.
After Asian Food Fest, are you ready to eat more? If you missed it yesterday, the vendor lineup for Taste of Cincinnati was announced, and let me tell you, you will not leave hungry! Cincinnati’s Memorial Day weekend tradition will yet again take over Fifth Street May 27-29, 2023, and feature 77 food vendors! In total, these food vendors will serve over 300 menu items.
If you simply can’t wait to try some of the amazing food at Taste of Cincinnati, there will be a food truck preview tomorrow May 4, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Court Street Plaza in downtown Cincinnati.These food trucks will be participating in the “Best of Taste” Food Truck edition. The Best of Taste award acknowledges the top-notch culinary accomplishments of vendors taking part in Taste of Cincinnati. Judging will be done by a predetermined panel, but we encourage you to come down to the Court Street Plaza and get a preview of what’s to come at Taste of Cincinnati 2023!
All these events rely on collaboration and partnership within the community, and last week, we were excited to announce that Chelsea (Brown) York has joined the Chamber’s leadership team as the Vice President of Events & Experiences!
Chelsea will oversee some of the most prominent community events in the region and the country, such as Oktoberfest Zinzinnati®, Taste of Cincinnati®, and Asian Food Fest. Along with that, she will work alongside BLINK® Executive Director, Justin Brookhart, to manage the operational aspects of BLINK® for its highly anticipated return in 2024. We are excited to welcome Chelsea and look forward to her guiding an already talented team, and how her vision and experience will elevate all of our events to new levels.
