In honor of March being Women’s History month, we want to dedicate this week’s newsletter to the women in the region who have paved the way for women today to excel. Women in our region today hold c-suite positions, public office, and are centered to make real change for the betterment of all.

While this is true, there is still much more work to be done. At the Cincinnati Chamber, we strongly advocate for the women living and working in our region, providing platforms to elevate and accelerate their impact. At the core of that advocacy is our Women Excel (WE) programming, led by my colleague Devona Stripling. As a core offering from The Leadership Center at the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, WE provides networking, education, mentoring, and leadership development opportunities for women.

As you may guess, March is an important month for these programs:
  • WE Ascend Class 4 – a leadership development program for BIPOC women focused on advancement – began their journey together at the beginning of March
  • WE Lead – an executive coaching and leadership development program designed to prepare, position, and empower women to move into higher leadership roles – will open applications for Class 18 next week
  • Registrations are currently open for WE Speak: Women in Business Conquer the Secret to Wealth. The event takes place April 12th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Procter & Gamble, and will feature Candice Matthews Brackeen, CEO & Founder of the Lightship Foundation, Barbara A. Turner, Former President & CEO of Ohio National Financial Services, and Cynthia Booth, CEO & Owner of Emerge Manufacturing, to discuss financial wellness

In the spirit of Women’s History Month, please take a moment to recognize and honor the women in your organizations and lives. They are making history now, and with that, a better future for all of us in the Cincinnati region.
